Yosemite

We had the pleasure of being able to make it to Josh’s youngest brother’s wedding in Yosemite. It was the first time for us to be there. It is a special place for Jake and Lacey though. It is where they, met, got engaged and now married. I can see why they fell in love with it.

We drove to Reno on Colby’s birthday so we could break up the drive and to meet Josh’s other brother, Jon, whose family drove from Spokane. We stayed in the same hotel and had fun the next morning taking it easy and enjoying the pool at the Casino.

The wedding was on Saturday. The only requirements for the wedding were to wear flip flops! We hiked up a little secluded path to over look the beautiful mountains. It was a very nice ceremony, and you just couldn’t beat the view!

Poor, Bailey. Colby would not let him out of his sight. He had to be doing everything Bailey was doing. Except in this picture, Colby made Bailey do what he was doing! What a good cousin!P1070170

After the ceremony we went to Tuolumne Meadows. We ate at a hamburger joint and then had an attempt at family photos!P1070184 P1070190

Watch out, Delaney’s behind the wheel and loving it!

We only had two days in the park and so we tried to make the most of it. The second day we drove further in the park to The Valley. We hiked to the giant sequoia trees and even hiked through one!P1070224 P1070227 P1070228

Delaney got a nice nap on the way back!P1070238

Jake took us to see El Capitan. He actually climbed this beast (pictures don’t do it justice). It took him a day and a half, which means he slept while hang out up there!P1070240

We also had to see Yosemite waterfalls, the largest in America and the seventh in the world, I believe.P1070248

This was the most amazing view I saw in the park!

P1070250 P1070251

We stayed in a town called June Lake. We spent our last day on the lake boating and swimming.P1070255

Luckily, this was the only bear we actually saw, although we heard there were some near by. We did see deer. It was a nice quick trip. Although, the ride home didn’t seem so quick!P1070257

We decided to do the drive home all in one day. We took a different route the way home, which was fun. The downside was two crying babies from Wendover all the way home!

Colby’s Birthday PARTIES

Why only have one party, when you can have three? I can’t believe my little boy is five years old!

P1070114

He had a birthday party with friends. We threw a party together last minute in between our vacations. We just had a few friends and cousins come over and play in the backyard.

We had slip-n-slide, little pool, sprinklers, and water balloons. What else could a five year old ask for?P1070117 P1070123 The wind was pretty strong and kept blowing out the candles so we had to step inside to light them and have him blow them out!P1070126 Hurray for birthday Parties!

P1070134

Another party was with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins on my side of the family. I attempted to make him, what seemed to be a cute simple dump truck cake. Well, Colby was happy with it anyway!P1070137

We ended up driving to Reno, NV as a pit stop to Yosemite on Colby’s birthday. So we had our Miller party with the family once we arrived on the 13th with the gang!P1070144

He is still in love with trucks and trains and so it was pretty easy to fill his requests for presents! He was quite happy with just unwrapping gifts! Thanks everyone!

Miller Reunion

We had a great time at the Miller Reunion in Cache Valley. It is nice to be around to be able to do stuff like this! P1070098

For some reason I seemed to be only one of two females who decided to wake up early and join in the Miller golfing tournament. It was a fun time and I got to sport a neat-o golf bag. They don’t make ‘em like that any more! And I narrowly missed getting pelted by a golf ball. Doesn’t get more exciting than that!

Josh and Colby spent pretty much the rest of the day fishing!

How fun to have 4 generations of Millers together!

Park City

We spent a wonderful week in Park City. It was great to be with the whole family and get some rest and relaxation. We had fun at the park and swimming at the pool everyday! P1070051

Quadruplets?!

P1070055

We made it to the Olympic Park a few times and it was neat to see the athletes in action, even when there is no snow!P1070057

Colby can’t wait to be an awesome skier, like his dad!

P1070058P1070060

One of Colby’s favorite activities was riding the ski lifts and the gondolas!

P1070064

One morning we walked to the Park City Resort to ride the Alpine Slide and the Rollercoaster. It was a beautiful day. Josh and the boys went fishing. Yet as one group got off the rollercoaster the rain came down in sheets and the babies all froze. Dad and Paula ran back to get the cars to drive us back to our condo. But by later that afternoon we were back at the resort finishing our activities. Colby went mini golfing with Grandpa…P1070068

The fishermen made it back and Josh went on the Alpine slide with Josh, and he LOVED it. Before it was even over he was asking to go again.

P1070072

That night we were even able to take a picnic lunch to Deer Valley to listen the the MoTab Choir practice with the Utah symphony for a free outdoor concert!P1070079

We didn’t get enough of the Olympic Park in one day we we had to go back for more. P1070084

The effort it took to get an all grandkids picture was worth it!

We started our week together by having Sunday dinner together. We attempted to take a family photo.

24th of July

P1070014Here are some of our festivities after recovering from the race in the morning. We went to the local Cottonwood Heights parade. Our stake had this float in the parade.

P1070018 Eliza loved the parade!

P1070025 This photo is for our friends, the Roses! That night we went to the Butlerville Days and watched “Eclipse” perform. The highlight was having them sing the Fenway version on “Sweet Caroline”

P1070027Colby enjoyed the fireworks, kind of!
